Sharat Shroff has been a portfolio manager at Matthews International Capital Management since 2005. Currently based in San Francisco, he runs the Matthews Pacific Tiger and Matthews India funds. Prior to joining the company he worked at Morgan Stanley as a research analyst. Shroff has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta anda BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology. Away from the office he enjoys soccer and the theatre.


The Fund seeks to provide maximum capital appreciation by investing at least 80% of its total net assets, which include borrowings for investment purposes, in the common and preferred stocks of companies located in Asia, excluding Japan.
